In the Lord of the Rings films, Hadhafang was wielded by Elrond during the battle between the Last Alliance of Elves and Men, and then later by his daughter Arwen

Arwen’s sword is called Hadhafang, which means Throng-cleaver. It once belonged to the Elven Princess Idril, who wed a mortal man and bore Earendil, the father of Elrond, who, in turn, was father to Arwen. Before Arwen’s birth, Elrond wielded Hadhafang at the end of the second age of Middle-Earth during The Last Alliance of Elves and Men in the great battle against Sauron. Later his daughter, Arwen, used Hadhafang when she aided Frodo in his escape from the Wringwraiths. Inscribed on the blade are runes in the Elven language of Sindarin that say “en estar Hadhafang i chathol hen, thand arod dan i thang an i arwen.” This translates to “this blade is called Hadhafang, a noble defense against the enemy throng for a noble lady. This authentically detailed sword is a reproduction of the sword featured in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy presented by New Line Cinema.

This beautiful sword, with an overall length of 38 1/8″ features a wood hand grip adorned with an Elven vine design and solid metal pommel. The 30″ blade is crafted of 1/4″ thick tempered 420 12 stainless steel and inscribed with runes in the Elven language of Sindarin. Each sword is presented with a wood display stand with a silkscreened Elven design.
